Hellenic Road Safety Week in Patras
On March 22, 2025, METACITIES participated in the Road Safety Open Day in Patras, as part of the Hellenic Road Safety Week. Organized by the Road Safety Institute (RSI) with support from the University of Patras (UPAT), University of Peloponnese (UoP), and the Municipality of Patras, the event featured interactive safety demos and digital presentations on innovative public safety applications. Key highlights included UPAT-developed applications within the METACITIES framework, showcasing advanced technologies for city management. With over 100 attendees, the event demonstrated the role of emerging technologies in creating safer and smarter cities.
