The Joint GREENBEAT – METACITIES Autumn School, held on October 14 – 15, 2025, was a great success, attracting approximately 45 participants from academia, industry, and local authorities mainly from Bulgaria, but also across Europe.

Hosted by the Technical University of Sofia (TUS), with the participation of the Hellenic American College (HAEC), SmartAvatar B.V., and ICT Cluster (ICTC), the Autumn School offered an inspiring forum for knowledge exchange and collaboration on sustainable innovation and urban resilience.

The program included two main modules:

• SDG-Driven Business Models & Resilience Engineering, focusing on how the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) can guide leadership, business innovation, and systemic resilience in complex environments.
• Writing Winning Proposals in EU-Funded Frameworks, which provided hands-on insights into Horizon Europe proposal structures, impact formulation, and effective consortium building.

Participants joined both on-site and online, engaging in dynamic discussions, practical sessions, and interactive workshops that linked sustainability, technology, and policy development.

The Autumn School demonstrated the strong synergy between GREENBEAT and METACITIES initiatives and their shared commitment to defining novel, resilient and sustainable, business models.

METACITIES and its partners thank all presenters and participants for their valuable contributions to this successful event.
