METACITIES at Verde.Tec 2026
From 26 February to 1 March 2026, METACITIES was presented at Verde.Tec in Athens, Greece, through the participation of project partner Road Safety Institute (R.S.I.) “Panos Mylonas”.
At the RSI’s booth, visitors had the opportunity to learn more about the METACITIES objectives, activities and vision for smarter and more sustainable cities, while engaging with interactive Road Safety activities, including drunk-driving simulation goggles, a reaction-time test linked to the 30 km/h speed limit, and the “Fatal Line” activity.
The participation provided an opportunity to introduce METACITIES to policymakers, industry stakeholders, academia and the wider public, increasing awareness of the project and its contribution to sustainable urban development through Digital Twins and Metaverse technologies.
