MetaCities Excellence Hub in South-Eastern Europe participated in the two day large-scale demo event for the FIDAL PROJECT where numerous PPDR related use cases were tested over the  Patras5G/p-NET Emerging Networks & Vertical Applications testbed.

During the open day the METACITIES Greek Cluster team evaluated a series of 3D representations and positioning technologies key to the instantiation of the ODTF based Greek Cluster’s Digital Twin for the Smart Mobility and Emergency Use Cases. Tracking, 3D visualization and simulation integration of a Unitree Go2 quadruped robot was accomplished to complement the emergency response scenario enacted where the device would deliver critical equipment to the site. The team could test and evaluate the technologies in an outdoor environment that utilized the high performance  Patras5G/p-NET Emerging Networks & Vertical Applications testbed.

The event was attended by numerous invited rescue teams, PPDR professionals and firemen and the METACITIES  vision was also shared with them.
