As part of the Thessaloniki International Fair, the Road Safety Institute (RSI) “Panos Mylonas” carried out extensive outreach activities aimed at informing and raising awareness among visitors about its work and initiatives in the field of Road Safety. Alongside the road safety awareness actions and the operation of traffic accident simulators, the Institute also promoted the innovative initiatives of the METACITIES project through a dedicated information point and related promotional material.

During the Fair, RSI staff welcomed citizens, representatives of institutional and social organisations, as well as political figures visiting the stand. The public had the opportunity to learn in detail about the Institute’s activities, educational programs, nationwide and international road safety and prevention initiatives, as well as the actions of METACITIES, which promote accessibility, sustainability, and the adoption of smart mobility solutions.

In addition, a promotional video of the METACITIES project was screened at the stand, highlighting its innovative actions and conveying the message of cultivating road safety awareness and responsible behaviour on the road.

During the Fair, more than 7,000 adults and 4,000 children visited the RSI stand, significantly enhancing the dissemination of both road safety initiatives and the METACITIES project objectives to a broad and diverse audience, contributing to public awareness and engagement in road safety and sustainable smart mobility.
