METACITIES Participates in Sustainability Panel at SolarHub General Assembly
METACITIES was represented by Tanya Politi (UPAT) at the General Assembly of the SolarHub, held on 18 February at the Divani Caravel Hotel.
Dr Politi participated in the panel discussion “Pillars to Sustainability,” alongside representatives from SolarHub, SUNFUSION, Solarize, and ECHO, as well as a business sustainability expert.
The panel brought together these projects to exchange perspectives on how sustainability is defined within their respective scopes and how sustainability strategies are shaped and implemented during and after the project lifecycle. The discussion highlighted both common and different practices across the featured projects, focusing on enhancing acceptance of sustainability practices and strengthening long-term impact.
Key points included the formalisation of sustainability strategies, the importance of co-created best practices, and the structuring of responsibilities at individual, institutional, and project levels. The role of the quadruple helix approach in ensuring broader and lasting sustainability outcomes was also emphasised.
