METACITIES Showcases Public Safety Innovations at Road Safety Week in Patras
As part of the 18th National Road Safety Week, METACITIES participated in the Open Day event held on March 22, 2025, at the central square of Patras, Greece. The event was organized by the Hellenic Institute of Road Safety (IOAS) “Panos Mylonas” in collaboration with local and national stakeholders, under the auspices of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport.
During the event, METACITIES presented interactive digital demonstrations showcasing the project’s digital twins and smart city applications related to public safety. Citizens and stakeholders had the opportunity to engage with experiential tools, learn about data-driven urban safety solutions, and explore how digital innovation can support safer urban mobility.
The event attracted strong public interest and offered a platform for sharing knowledge, raising awareness, and promoting cross-sector collaboration to reduce traffic accidents and improve road safety in cities.
