The programme is addressed to undergraduate and postgraduate students, recent graduates, and PhD candidates from disciplines related to Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information and Communication Technologies, Smart Systems, Digital Technologies, as well as business and innovation-oriented studies.

The Spring School aims to provide participants with a multidisciplinary learning experience focused on advanced technologies and innovation pathways that contribute to the development of sustainable smart cities. The programme will cover thematic areas related to the core technological pillars of the METACITIES project, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), 5G networks, Cybersecurity, VR/XR technologies, and IoT, Cloud, and Edge Computing.

Activities related to entrepreneurial education and knowledge transfer will be implemented in collaboration with the GREENBEAT project.

Participants will attend lectures delivered by experts from academia, technology, and entrepreneurship ecosystems, while also engaging in hands-on activities and interactive exercises designed to strengthen both technical and innovation-oriented skills. The programme will additionally include experience-sharing sessions with students and young researchers involved in entrepreneurial initiatives and startup activities.

The Spring School will be delivered entirely online through morning and afternoon sessions, enabling remote participation from different countries and academic backgrounds.
