METACITIES Summer School by CYENS
From July 15th to 19th, the CYENS Center of Excellence hosted a dynamic Summer School as part of the METACITIES project, designed for students aged 14 to 16 years old. This program provided a unique opportunity for 17 enthusiastic participants to expand their imagination, learn new skills, and cultivate their inventiveness. The students engaged in hands-on experiences with Digital Twins and Smart City Applications, utilizing the Design Thinking Process. They learned the basics of this innovative approach, explored the Nicosia Smart City platform, and developed their own solutions to improve city life. By the end of the week, students were equipped with the knowledge to ask the right questions about prototyping, understand the Smart City environment, and apply the steps from prototyping to creating simple applications. The program was a resounding success, inspiring the next generation of thinkers and innovators.
